The Neighbor Girls

This is such a swell neighborhood, and there is a gaggle of girls aged 4-11 collectively referred to as “The Girl Gang”. Iris gets the full Sandlot experience as girls will ring the doorbell and ask for her to play. In this scenario, she’s Smalls, and she is fine with that. Best of all, our immediate neighbors are her very best friend and her older sister. Bertram and Benny “the Jet” Rodriguez, respectfully while we keep up the scenario.

They teach her how to be an outdoor kid.

Making leaf piles, and yes, Iris is wearing an Elsa gown and a leopard coat.

They even play board games outside!

Sometimes, the Squints character (“you’re killing me, Smalls!) shows up. She’s belongs to the other military family on the block, and we’ve become close.

  1. It’s great to see that Iris has so many good friends in the neighborhood to play with.

  2. Very cool. Thanks so much for sending. So glad she’s having the chance to be a kid in the fullest sense. Sending hugs from us, and
Bill and Debbie and Jim send their regards, too.
